The company from Arzignano, at the Milan fair, showcased several new advanced machinery, grabbing the attention of operators from around the world. At the Simac Tanning Tech last February, Bergi Spa, a leading player in the design, construction, and sale of machinery and automation for the leather industry, presented several new machines, while important innovations were adopted for others already in the range.
“At the Milan fair – confirms Mauro Bergozza, the company’s administrator founded in 1965 by his father – we recorded a remarkable interest, also thanks to a significant flow, much higher than that of other sector exhibitions: in India, Pakistan, and Hong Kong, which preceded it. Undoubtedly, the Industry 4.0 tool launched by the government two years ago to aid mechatronic development is yielding good results in the machinery sector today, seen as a boost to performance and quality of technological products.”
Heavy-duty stamping press model Supervario T
Among the companies continuing their ascent is Bergi, whose new models have already made a global impact. “At the fair – Bergozza continues – we presented the new heavy-duty stamping press model Supervario T, specific for the furniture and automotive sectors. A machine for large grains, with a larger support roller diameter compared to machines already present in the market, and therefore a longer dwell time under pressure, and a preheating system for the leather in the “spreader”: all this reduces the thermal shock that the leather receives, allowing to work at a lower temperature and at a higher speed.
Stacker model Compact with automatic spreader for leathers Pegasus.
For the second year in a row, we showcased the Compact Stacker, with the automatic leather spreader rack model Pegasus, which is generating significant interest, to the point that we already have bookings for the next 10 months.
Attiva belt grinder
One of our flagship products in the coming years will be the new Attiva Belt Grinder Model with an “extender” feeder, for which we have received compliments from both our customers and industry experts. The machine features several interesting innovations for processing soft leathers as well.
Softcoat roller tamponer and Finilux TR
Finally, we introduced a new production line for preparing leathers (usually half bovine) with an adhesive base and a hot coupling machine to match a transfer finishing on a support film that can be either a pigmented or embossed release paper or a polyester film. One is the Softcoat roller tamponer, which ensures excellent quality results especially on soft leathers, the other is a Finilux TR that guarantees the anchoring of the finishing.
“Our export share – concludes the managing director and partner with his two brothers Alberto and Federico – ranges from 65% to 75%, depending on the market trends. We are present in over 50 countries worldwide, all those where quality leather is processed. We are also benefiting from contributions related to Industry 4.0, enriching our machinery park for mechanical parts processing with state-of-the-art technologies, with substantial investments. Furthermore, we are expanding with a new plant that will be built next to the Arzignano headquarters.”
